Welcome to Dullsville

It’s been a while since there’s been a post and it’s primarily because things have been rather more dull than usual. We played the latest Tomb Raider, finishing it up last weekend. It was something to do to get us closer to spring and ignore how it still seems so far away. Like everyone else around here, we have been rather impatiently waiting it to arrive.

The knitting pace since finishing Perianth has been very slow. It took over 4 weeks to work half of Malpeque’s back. Something that should have taken less than a week. Well, it is off of the needles now and the weekend might see it blocked, although the top few rows of the piece do need to be looked at for plies that didn’t make it into the target stitch.
The mood to give it a little push towards the direction of the finish line is here for now, so the right front has been cast on. Shaping instructions for the fronts are complicated. Do this every so and so rows. By the way, don’t forget to do that at the same time only on the other side. Oh, and the rate at which you'll do things is going to change on this side, just so you know. A list of when and where the shaping is to take place after the ribbing is finished was made to help keep track of it all. There were 23 highlights placed on the right front instructions this morning. 23. Seems a lot. Here’s the start of that shaping list so you can see what I mean.

row  Instruction  Sts
18    neck dec    93
34    neck dec    92
46    waist dec    91
48    neck dec    90

Other than that, I think it's going to be pretty when done.

  1. Plus, very dark color makes it more challenging to see and keep track. Spring is coming, I do believe it. Even though the icicle on y outdoor light is growing again after the giant one fell off.

  2. Gale- I'm kinda liking Dullsville.
