Showing off the Peacock Tail and Leaf Scarf
Here are the glamour shots for the Peacock Tail and Leaf scarf from Knitted Lace of Estonia. This was a quick and thoroughly enjoyable project. The yarn was repurposed from another project, and some was ruined in the frogging. Perhaps it could have been used, but not by me. Whether 2 skeins were necessary for it or not is up in the air.At least 1 skein of Handmaiden Camelspin in Nova Scotia
3.25 mm needles
These are the things left on the vacation to-do list. With only two days left, how much gets done is up in the air.
1. Start working on Lismore. Yeah. Right. Maybe in the fall.
3. Finish Victoria. Buttons and all. Still don't want to do it.
8. Lengthen the foot for the Marie Antoinette socks. I've been avoiding this action for one silly reason or another.
9. Wash fleece. Still a lot to go.
You might notice that the Kitri's aren't there. They aren't there because they may be considered finished. Finally, the cuff managed to get knitted onto the sock body in the correct fashion. Finally. But I don't like it. The connection between the lace and the sock's cuff is just plain ugly. Enough slop has to be worked into the lace at the connection point to allow the lace to expand with the cuff. Since it's not as pretty as the rest of the sock, it's not going to happen. One last option is under consideration - knitting the cuff and then sewing it on to the sock, but I've almost talked myself out of that one.
We went to see the Terminator movie on Tuesday evening. Not as good as the Star Trek movie, but a good outing.
